Our process

From first conversation to final handover

Renovating shouldn't feel like a guessing game. Here's how a Toogood Build project runs, so you always know what happens next.

  1. 1

    Initial consultation

We meet at your home, look at the space and talk through what you want to achieve, how you use the house and the budget range you have in mind. You'll get straight feedback on what's realistic before anyone spends money.

  2. 2

    Design & planning

We work through the design and the practical detail together, coordinating designers, engineers and certifiers where the project needs them. Buildability and cost are considered while the design is still easy to change.

  3. 3

    Quotation

You receive a clear, itemised quote with the scope, inclusions, exclusions and allowances written out — so you understand exactly what you're agreeing to and can make a confident decision.

  4. 4

    Construction

Your project is scheduled, trades are coordinated and one point of contact keeps you updated as the work progresses. Sites are left clean and secure, and any variations are discussed and agreed in writing before work proceeds.

  5. 5

    Handover

We walk through the completed work with you, finish any final items and hand over the relevant documentation. We stay contactable afterwards — the relationship doesn't end at handover.

One point of contact, the whole way through

You deal with the builder directly at every stage — the same person in the first consultation is the person managing your site and walking you through handover.
